Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in Terrain Mapping: Systematic Literature Review

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is an advanced technology that can be control remotely. It hovers up in the air and travel with different height distance depending on capability of UAV. Originally, this was invented for military practice. Now, innovation UAV growing have contribute to various field including terrain mapping surveying work. Carrying out task such as mountain, valley, plateau, or rainforest a difficult in-terms time, practicality cost. Another challenge when survey area permanently clouded over limited availability aircraft platforms orbit features satellites causing difficulties obtain high quality photos. Therefore, there are much research used do work Digital Terrain Model (DTM), Surface (DSM) Elevation purposes. In study, systematic literature review using thematic analysis methodology review, evaluate combine relevant review. The aim study categorise application also identify system result improvement during usage mapping. From analysis, two themes which understanding earth structure subtheme geotechnical geomorphological flood accuracy assessment, enhancement resolution were formed.
